Facebook for Business Examples
From Facebook website: - www.facebook.com
"Millions of people use Facebook everyday to keep up with friends,
upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they
meet."
Being honest, I'm not into Facebook on a personal level. There are many other things things that I
would rather be doing! Having said that I have done a good deal of research and below is my take on
Facebook and in particular Facebook for business.
The vast majority of Facebook users are personal users. If it is the situation that you are
already using Facebook on a personal level, I think that adding a business aspect could
be of benefit. The down side, is the time involved, and having to update your page / site on a
regular basis. There is no point in you setting up a Facebook page, just for the sake of it.
Although I have started on a somewhat pessimistic note, please see below some tips and instruction as to how
Facebook can help promote your business.
- If you decide to join Facebook make sure you fill out your profile completely.
- Upload a professional or business casual photos / logos of yourself / your business to
reinforce your brand.
- If applicable, post your newsletter subscription information and archives somewhere in
your profile.
- Spend time to connect and share with others
- Add your Facebook URL to your email signature and any marketing material(business cards,
advertising, etc.) so people can learn more about you. Do not forget to create link(s) from your existing business website.
- Engage regularly and post business updates on the site.
- Share useful articles and links to presentation and valuable resources that interest potential
customers and/or clients
- Sometimes it makes sense to combine other social media such as Twitter, Linked In & Blogs
- Use Find Friends for suggestions of other people you may know to expand your network.
- Market and promote your products by posting discounts and special offers.
- Do some research and see if Facebook ads will help to target your audience. Bear in mind
that Facebook shows ads based on interest of people rather than search terms.
- Start a group or fan page for product, brand or business.
- ENGAGE!
Feel free to get in touch if you would like to arrange a consultation with regard to getting
Facebook working for your business. You might even find that my scepticism is helpful!
